L'orgue

Cet orgue a été construit par Albert E. Pease, de la rue Grayling, à Stoke, Newington, en Angleterre. Il a été expédié à Victoria via le cap Horne à bord du bateau Red Rock et installé dans cette église en 1901 pour la somme de 1 500 $.

En 1931, un ventilateur électrique Casavant a été ajouté. Vers la fin des années 1960, le facteur Hugo Spilker a transformé le jeu Violin Diapason 8' de la division du Swell en une Quint 2 2/3'.

L'orgue est placé du côté gauche du choeur et possède une facade de tuyaux peints. Le système de traction mécanique tant au niveau des claviers que du tirage des jeux est d'origine. La division expressive du Swell est actionnée par un pédale enclanchable. Le système manuel de pompage doit être restauré.

The Organ

The organ was built by Albert E. Pease, of Grayling Road, Stoke, Newington, England. It was shipped around Cape Horn to Victoria on the sailing ship Red Rock, and installed here in 1901 for $1,500.

In 1931, an electric Casavant blower was added. In the late 1960s, Hugo Spilker moved the Swell Violin Diapason 8' to a Quint 2 2/3'.

The organ is located at the left side of the choir and has a facade of ornately painted pipes. The drawstops and key action are still of the original mechanical type. The enclosed Swell is controlled by a hitchdown pedal. The original hand pumping is to be restored.
